Despite having redeemed herself from being a mercenary of Gabriel, a former adversary of Ethan, the agency and the team still have a seed of doubt about Paris. And because of this, she has a constant need to prove herself. But, because of Graham's natural abilities to be a leader and upstanding member of the team and Benji's support, she becomes a lot more open emotionally later in the story while remaining competent enough.
