Rita, an evil alien has been locked away on the moon for centuries and has become freed due to an expedition and sets her eyes out on earth sending an army to help her. Zordon, a consciousness of a wise alien finds 5 teenagers and imbues them with powers, forming the Powers Rangers. Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy, and Trini must master the power of ancient animals to save the day.

Rita mind controls one of the Rangers friends Tommy Oliver and turns him into the evil Green Ranger, who the Rangers must break the curse Rita put on him. But once they break it, Tommy’s powers begin to weaken by the days.
