A live-action Metroid movie existing in the Smash Bros. Cinematic Universe.
The story is based largely on Metroid: Zero Mission, Super Metroid and Metroid Other M. An origin story, the film tells the tale of Samus Aran—an orphaned galactic bounty hunter who finds herself in conflict with an alien A.I dubbed Mother Brain, her lieutenant Ridley and his army of Space Pirates. Samus will confront Ridley, also facing her past and uncover the mystery of the Metroids.
