Archeologist Rex Mason is sent out to retrieve a rare ancient Egyptian artifact known as the Orb of Ra. But it's all a ruse by his boss, Simon Stagg, in a plot to kill him for dating his daughter Sapphire. Rex is exposed to a radioactive meteorite from which the Orb was made from. The Orb transforms Rex into a shifting mass of chemicals who can adapt his body into any element.
