In the year 20XX, a helper robot named Rock was created by the peaceful Doctor Thomas Light. Light went on to create more industrial robots to benefit mankind. But when his former partner-turned-jealous rival, Doctor Albert W. Wily, steals the robots and uses them to conquer the world, Rock volunteers to stop him and set things right. The result is Mega Man, the super fighting robot!
