Sheltered 16 year old Cady Heron has been homeschooled her entire life, and spent the last few years in Kenya, East Africa due to her parents jobs as Zoologists. However, when they move back to America Cady is sent to High school to be socialised for College. She befriends outsiders Janis and Damien, and gets the attention of the Plastics (the most popular and feared clique in school). Janis enlists Cady to go undercover and infiltrate the Plastics and give her private information on Regina George (the undisputed leader of the Plastics), as Janis has personal history with Regina for starting a rumour about Janis, which caused her to become an outcast. But when Cady falls for Aaron Samuels, Regina’s ex-boyfriend, things take a turn for the worst.
