While Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed to reprise his role as Deadpool in the MCU, making it easy to assume his supporting cast would follow suit, it is less clear as to whether Josh Brolin would reprise his role as Cable after having previously played Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. While other MCU actors (most notably Gemma Chan) have played multiple roles in the MCU, usually one role is a side character, while the other is a leading character. Josh Brolin playing the main villain of the first three Phases of the MCU and then returning to play another major character would be unprecedented in the MCU, but not impossible.
