After acquiring the symbionte on the latter half of the previous film, Peter becomes more wary of the effects that it has on him and decides to drop it. The symbionte then unites with Harry Osborn who becomes Venom and who turns Peter's longtime friend, Ned Leeds into a formidable enemy
