Stan Lee did not want Sue to have superstrength, "to be Wonder Woman and punch people", so eventually he came to invisibility, inspired by works such as The Invisible Man.[102] She later develops the ability to generate invisible force fields, which she uses for a variety of defensive and offensive effects.
