After Jacob’s reputation is ruined, he is abducted by Dr. Fowler to meet her colleagues: a secret team of classic superheroes called the Guild. The team seeks to find a way to contain the power of the Orb before it destroys everything they know. Meanwhile, a group of rowdy, inexperienced heroes called the Firestars search for Jacob to bring him to justice; Margot, Alan, and Lou engage in a rival search; and Ricky enacts an evil plan with his mother and a secret benefactor.
