The X-Men trusted each other more than ever after defeating Creed. A man named Nathaniel Essex experimented on two brothers Scott Summers and Alex Summers. The X-Men met the Morlocks and their leader Ororo Monroe. Ororo told them about Essex known as Mr Sinister and helped them locate his lab. The X-Men and Storm led a revolution against Mr Sinister freeing many mutants, some of which turned on them and some joined their ranks. Mr Sinister plotted his revenge.
