When private investigator MacDonald Gargan failed to unmask Spider-Man for J. Jonah Jameson, Wilson Fisk offered Mac the chance to use an experimental stealth suit to make his dues. The suit bonded itself to Mac’s body, its toxins polluting his mind and transforming him into the Scorpion.
