Dr. Doom has assembled a team, called the Masters of Evil in his pursuit of becoming a god. After an attack upon S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier U.N.N. Alpha, Nick Fury is given the OK to start a task force consisting of Marvel's superheroes to combat the Masters of Evil and uncover Dr. Doom's plot.
