They passed on this $10 million offe, because they thought nobody cared about the other characters, and only wanted Spider-Man, whose rights were held by MGM until 1999. But what if they did take the offer and built a cinematic universe with teams like The Ultimates and Marvel Knights? The timeframe of this would be around 2001 to 2007.
