Synopsis

When Lakitu, a struggling TV host, comes up with a plan to boost his ratings back up to the numbers he saw in his prime, he lured Mario, Crash, and a host of others to Von Clutch’s Motorworld. There, a mystery occurred to identify who stole the power gems that fuel the park. Von Clutch offers each team of two ownership over the park if they can get the gems back, so they race over the lands of Mystery Island, Happily Ever Faster, Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, Tomb Town, and Astro Land

Description of The Thief:

After all the races are started and finished, N-Tropy reveals himself and confessed that it was he who stole the Gems as part of a plan of his, casts Cortex, N. Gin, Bowser, and Bowser Jr to the side, and challenges everyone else to a race across the legendary Rainbow Road.
