Synopsis

Based on the original 1994 Mexican Telenovela of the same name, Marimar is a young Anglo-Mexican girl who falls in love with Sergio, a young law student. But their happiness is cut short when her grandparents are murdered by a mysterious arsonist and they are arrested. Once they reunite in the city of Bristol, both take on new identities to avenge themselves against those who ruined their lives, including Sergio's fugitive father and sister, solve a string of murders and uncover a past that not only brings them closer, but leads them on a mission they never imagined: To save their native England.

Description of Stationmaster Didi Hallinan (Aunt Didi):

The Stationmaster of the East Grinstead train station, Didi Hallinan is Marimar's 1st employer and one of her closest friends. Known affectionately as Aunt Didi, she was a close friend of Marimar and Sergio's mothers, who shared her love for trains. A loyal friend, she along with the couple's friends persistently try to entice them to come home.
