Synopsis

Based on the original 1994 Mexican Telenovela of the same name, Marimar is a young Anglo-Mexican girl who falls in love with Sergio, a young law student. But their happiness is cut short when her grandparents are murdered by a mysterious arsonist and they are arrested. Once they reunite in the city of Bristol, both take on new identities to avenge themselves against those who ruined their lives, including Sergio's fugitive father and sister, solve a string of murders and uncover a past that not only brings them closer, but leads them on a mission they never imagined: To save their native England.

The leader of a kid gang in Bristol, Maxine is a rebellious young girl who leads her crew to defend her neighborhood from the greedy Mayor McCluskie and the greedy conservative politicians. Like many, Maxine admired the late Gustavo Aldama and thus takes a liking to both Belle Aldama and Nigel Hyde.
