Magnus Chase, a homeless 16-year-old, discovers he's the son of the Norse god Frey, after dying and being chosen as an Einherji in Valhalla. He learns of Ragnarok, the end of the world, and the impending threat of Fenris Wolf. Magnus embarks on a quest to find a legendary sword, with his friends, to prevent Ragnarok, facing trials and battles against giants, monsters, and other mythical beings.
