Nick Tate, an unsuccessful journalist seeking for a scoop, finds a pansexual alien named LGB. T. (dubbed "Elgy") and plans to make him the scoop he was looking for. Elgy escaped from his home planet, where a genocidal tyrant is persecuting LGBTQ+ people. However, Nick and the alien become friends, enlarging the circle with Nick's girlfriend and coworker Grace, his lesbian neighbor Shannon and his housekeeper Gayle. However, Lawrence Ito, Nick's coworker and rival, kidnaps the alien to make the scoop his own…
