When the emotional spectrum begins to destabilize and Soranik Natu's pleas to the Guardians go unanswered, she seeks out former corpsmen Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner. Their investigation leads them to the sadistic killer Alexander Nero, who seeks the help of Yellow Lantern Kryb to spread fear like a virus across the entire Lantern spectrum. With time running out and trust in short supply, the mismatched heroes must confront their own emotional extremes to prevent the lights of the universe from going out forever.
