In 1978, Stephen Strange was a gifted young neurosurgeon until a tragic car accident cost him the use of his hands. Desperate to heal his injuries, Strange travelled to Kamar-Taj when he learned the Mystic Arts under the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One. But when the sorceress known as Morgan Le Fay attacked and killed his mentor, Strange stepped up and became the new Sorcerer Supreme to save the world. A role he has held ever since.
