An aspiring filmmaker assembles a team and a down-on-her-luck actress to explore the mysterious Skull Island. There, the island's primitive inhabitants abduct the actress, intending to offer her as a sacrifice to a colossal gorilla known as Kong. The crew manages to save her and captures the mighty ape, transporting him to New York City for a public display, culminating in a heart-breaking finale.
