Everything changed since Kryptonians came to Earth
Dr. Jeremiah Danvers enlists with Cadmus to save Earth from a future collision with the asteroid Apophis. A video his adopted daughter Kara will make in the future convinces him. A laser shot around a wormhole enables present day scientists to see future transmissions. In his quest he discovers why Kryptonians are so hated by types like the Luthors... humanity itself is the result of ancient Kryptonian tampering with primate DNA to breed slaves for their occupation of Earth. They were the mythical gods of Greek and other mythology. Kara blames herself for Earth's destruction in the future since she previously gave up her powers as a penance for not saving her cousin Clark from Doomsday.
