When Kai was a young child, his father was killed fighting off a Shadow Demon who attacked their home. Kai grew up and 7 years later, he was a teenager who loved his family and playing his father's shamisen. When he played, he had the power of natural growth and storytelling. He was telling the Villagers all the thrilling stories of The Heroes of Japan. Then Kai leaves Ainokura that night and goes on a quest to find The Samurai Hosato and the Heroes of Japan, and defeat the Lord Shadow and his Shadow Demons
