Darkseid begins to piece together the Anti-Life Equation. Now, not only Earth, but the fate of the multiverse is at stake. The Justice League splits up to protect the world and the timeline; some fight on Earth, some in space, some in other dimensions. But Darkseid's plan is much deeper: to achieve a victory without war by conquering minds. As the heroes try to form a unified army, Darkseid eventually activates Anti-Life and many heroes fall under his control. The world falls. A few heroes survive and are forced to flee.
