When Lex Luthor and his new team steal Superman's body and plan on using it to summon Darkseid the Justice League have to stop it but since the team is broken up, they ultimately fail and Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam are sent to the past and Darkseid is summoned in the present. The movie ends with Batman and his team meeting past Superman in 2012 during the first Justice League.
