Synopsis
Justice League is a 2008 American superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Films, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, Atlas Entertainment, and Cruel and Unusual Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Directed by George Miller and written by Chris Terrio and David S Goyer, the film features an ensemble cast including Christian Bale, Brandon Routh, Megan Gale, Adam Brody, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Alexander Skarsgård, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Kate Bosworth, Sam Huntington, Nathan Fillion, Kevin Spacey, Heath Ledger, Charles Dance and Angelina Jolie. In the film, following the events of Batman v Superman: World's Finest (2007) and The Dark Knight (2008) Batman and Superman recruit The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martin Manhunter to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Lex Luthor, Joker, Ares and Cheetah.
Justice League: Mortal premiered in Los Angeles on October 13, 2008, and was released in the United States on November 4. The film received praise for Miller's direction and screenplay, visual effects, action sequences, acting, and musical score.
