  • benjaminmiller1 Sean O'Pry is not a huge star and that's what I want when James Gunn gets around to casting Batman/Bruce Wayne is someone who is yet to be a superstar and not someone who is already associated with other major hit parts.
    • lordstarkiller @benjaminmiller1 Yeah, okay. But the fact of the matter is, whether you like it or not, James Gunn is most likely going to get an A-list actor (whether that would be top contender choices like Jensen Ackles, or an out-of-left-field casting like Richard Madden) since Bruce during The Brave And The Bold is supposed to have trained the ENTIRE Batfamily and is now on his fourth Robin, meaning he'll be in his late forties to early fifties. Choices like Sean O'Pry or the dreaded Oliver Jackson-Cohen are only in their thirties and are too young for this version of Batman. If anything, a lot of these choices are likely going to play a different variant of Batman from another universe outside of the Gunnverse, or will play different characters entirely in the new DCU (for example: Nicholas Hoult, who was a popular choice for Batman, but has now been casted for Lex Luthor). I'm not saying it's a bad idea at all to get an unknown actor, but for this case, and many others (i.e. Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Jason Todd/Red Hood, etc), it just will not work. The only member of the Batfamily that is most likely to be portrayed by an unknown actor is, of course, Damian Wayne, but even then, that's only because he's a child and an unknown choice is actually required there. And no offense at all, but you choosing an unknown actor for just about everything, especially when it will not work at all, is getting kind of irritating tbh. Again, no offense, but I am just saying you should maybe start branching out more and fancasting some more well-known actors. Not for the sake of doing it, but for the sake of seeing if it actually works with that role and if people actually like it. But that's just my opinion. I'll let you have yours if you disagree with me.
