Lex Luther enters his endgame plan, moving to take over Lex Corp, no longer the manic Mad Scientist he was previously perceived as. Using accumulated resources to revive a dormant titan in Brainiac's ship. Independently the members of the soon-to-be justice league come together all individually motivated to investigate and take down Luther. After fighting a loose conglomeration of rouges. Bizarro (now capable of speech), Captain Cold (Luther's new head of security), An android powered by Legion's old power core, Jinx (Disguised as a business partner), and a Trench Atlantean. (Martian Manhunter is in the Brainiac ship and helps break Matrix out of Luther's custody) All their attempts are for not, as Luther releases the resurrected monster. Dubbed Doomsday by Brainiacs computer. The monster tears through both the Legion of Doom and Justice League only slightly slowed by Superman/Bizzaro. Superman is beaten to death by Doomsday but passes out in the process. Hal takes the monster into the void of space hoping it will freeze to death. The funeral for Superman is a big deal, and the remaining leaguers repurposing an unused building in the nation's capital for their new meeting place.
