Story Plot

With Darkseid's imminent invasion of Earth to take the Mother Boxes and dominate the planet, Bruce Wayne enters a race against time to assemble a group of Meta-Humans to stop Darkseid before it's too late.

    The final battle takes place in Metropolis. Mother Boxes are dormant and are in Atlantis, the Tower of Destiny and the Star Labs. The first place Darkseid goes is Atlantis, where he massacres an Atlantean army, kills Mera's father, and manages to take the box. The second place is the Tower of Fate, where Doctor Fate is introduced. Despite facing the alien, Darkseid takes the box (Doctor Fate survives the confrontation). Then Darkseid invades Metropolis and Star Labs, where Elinor Stone is killed and Victor Stone has an accident, but his father saves him with the maternal box. Darkseid fails to get the box as he is stopped by Batman, Superman and Green Lantern. Granny Goodnes and Steppenwolf are with Darkseid in the final battle. Superman is taken by Desaad to Apokolips at the end, but Batman saves him (similar to the events of the animated Justice League: War). Diana travels to Temyscera at the start of the film to learn who Darkseid is. The film's Green Lantern is Hal Jordan, but John Stewart appears in the Mid-Credit Scene. Martian Munhunter appears midway through the film to help the League and is present at the final battle. In a post-credits scene, Darkseid talks with his sons Grail and Kalibak about future retaliation against Earth. Shazam is introduced in the scene of the invasion of Star Labs, where he was on a school field trip (Billy is already Shazam, but will only get a movie in phase 2 of the DCU). Mother Boxes end at the Tower of Fate.
