Following the events of Avengers: Doomsday, interdimensional reality crashes (known as incursions) threaten to wipe out multiple parallel universes, including the prime MCU timeline and neighboring X-Men and Fantastic Four realities. Victor von Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is expected to seize supreme multiversal power out of the dying chaos of realities, forging a patchwork planet called Battleworld where he rules as an absolute, god-like dictator. A fractured band of surviving heroes from different destroyed timelines will likely have to navigate Battleworld's various strange domains, organize a rebellion, and challenge Doom's altered reality to restore the multiverse.
