The actress Jenna Ortega said, on political correctness in Hollywood
“The business that we work in is so touchy-feely. Everybody wants to be politically correct, but I feel like, in doing that, we lose a lot of our humanity and integrity, because it lacks honesty.” Of course, Ortega is still young. And sometimes foolish. She seems to like her wine, and she’s been a smoker since her late teens. I wouldn’t say she’s the world’s best role model. But she does strike me as authentic, if only just for the fact that she dares to call out the fakeness that permeates every square inch of the industry in which she makes a living. That takes guts.
