A Direct Sequel to Jaws (1975)
Forty years after being terrorized by a great white shark, Amity Island is on the brink of economic disaster. Due to bad publicity from the shark attacks, the once flourishing community is now occupied with deserted streets, dilapidated storefronts, vacant beach cottages, and shark poachers that roam its waters. A new venture, Amity Inc. aims to return the island to its former glory, but a series of unexplained deaths offshore prevent them from doing so. They enlist the help of former marine biologist Matt Hooper, who, still suffering PTSD from the events of the first film, believes another great white has come to feast on the residents of Amity.
