The son of a well-off merchant who wants to be just like his father, but loses his childhood trying to live up to his expectations. On a trip to America, James's ship crashes and he washes up on an Island. He meets a girl there who calls it "Neverland". James befriends her and many others who live on the island, but he longs to get back to his best "friend" back in England.
