Jake Long is a 15-year-old Chinese-American teenager who discovers that he belongs to an ancient line of draconic guardians charged with protecting the wizarding world from the forces of evil. Balancing his life as a student in New York, his friendships, and his budding romance with Rose, Jake faces the biggest challenge of his life when an ancient threat emerges: the Dragon Hunters are more organized than ever, led by the ruthless Huntsmaster, and they seek Eliminate all magical creatures. With the help of his grandfather Lao Shi, his best friend Spud, and his friend Trixie, Jake must fully embrace his draconic heritage and prove himself worthy of being the Western Dragon.
