Jackson’s Diary takes place in 1989 and follows Jackson Smith, a teenager returning to his old hometown for his final year of high school. Even though he’s back in familiar streets, nothing feels familiar to him. He’s dealing with a heavy, lingering sense that something around him is off. When Jackson meets Exer Campbell, the school’s golden boy, his life tilts even further. Exer seems charming and popular on the surface, but Jackson notices unsettling details—moments where Exer’s presence feels almost supernatural, like there’s more to him than anyone else can see. Their interactions slowly pull Jackson toward hidden truths about Exer, about the town, and about his own perception of reality. As Jackson tries to navigate friendships, romance, and the school’s social drama, his grip on what’s real keeps slipping. Some things he hears or sees don’t match what others experience. The mystery builds around whether Jackson is imagining these things… or whether something genuinely paranormal is creeping into his life. His diary becomes a crucial piece of the puzzle, not just a notebook but a mirror that reflects things he doesn’t fully understand.
