Seeking revenge, the fan crafts his own armor and launches a brutal assault on the Stark Mansion, burning it to the ground and destroying Iron Man's suits. In the ensuing battle, Iron Man is gravely injured and nearly killed. Just in time, Iron Lad intervenes, using his skills and technology to save Stark's life. Together, the two Iron-clad heroes manage to defeat the vengeful fan, saving the day. With the “whiplash” defeated and the mansion in ruins, Stark realizes it's time to pass the torch to Iron Lad, ensuring the legacy of Iron Man will live on.
