Long before the age of heroes, a bitter outcast stumbled upon an ancient secret buried beneath the mystical city of K'un-Lun. Deep within the remains of a long-forgotten alien vessel, he discovered the legendary Ten Rings - artifacts of unimaginable power that transformed him into the immortal warlord known as The Mandarin. As he razed K'un-Lun in his quest for conquest, one young survivor escaped: Danny Rand. Ten years later, the world is still recovering from Ultron's devastating attack. Tony Stark has become on of Earth's greatest heroes, but the guilt of helping create Ultron has left him battle self-doubt and alcoholism. Determined to prove he can protect the world without relying on anyone else, Tony throws himself back into his work at Stark Industries. His resolve is tested when the Ten Rings organization launches a brazen assault on Stark Industries. Leading them is the Mandarin himself, now wielding powers unlike anything Iron Man has ever encountered. Outmatched and nearly killed, Tony realizes that even his greatest inventions may not be enough to stop a man empowered by ancient cosmic relics. Refusing to call the Avengers, Tony develops his most advanced armor yet and launches a final assault against the Ten Rings. But as the battle reaches its breaking point, help arrives from an old friend, James Rhodes, and from Danny Rand, now the legendary Iron Fist, who has spent years preparing to avenge the destruction of his home. Together, Iron Man, War Machine, and Iron Fist face the Mandarin in a clash of technology, martial arts, and mystical power. Though the tyrant is finally defeated and imprisoned, the secrets of the Ten Rings - and the forces that created them - hint that Earth's future holds mysteries far greater than anyone imagined.
