Tony Stark, a genius billionaire and inventor, began his journey to becoming Iron Man after a life-altering event. While demonstrating weapons overseas, Stark was injured by one of his own devices and captured by terrorists. With shrapnel threatening his heart, he was forced to build a weapon for his captors but instead created a suit of armor to escape. This prototype armor not only saved his life but marked the beginning of his transformation from a self-centered industrialist to a heroic figure. After returning home, Stark refined the suit and used it to fight threats that arose from his own past mistakes and the misuse of his technology. Driven by a desire to make amends and protect the innocent, he publicly revealed himself as Iron Man.
