Fan Casting Invincible Iron Man (Phase 1: Jun, 2008)

Tony Stark, genius inventor and billionaire, demonstrates his latest military technology—powerful micro-transistors—before embarking on a trip to Siancong to investigate supply chain disruptions. However, he is gravely injured by a landmine and captured by the warlord Wong-Chu, who demands he build weapons. Instead, Stark, with the help of physicist Ho Yinsen, secretly constructs an armored suit to sustain his life and escape captivity. Yinsen sacrifices himself, allowing Stark to activate the suit and defeat Wong-Chu’s forces before vanishing into the jungle. Along the way, he rescues U.S. Marine James "Rhodey" Rhodes, forging a lifelong alliance. Back in the U.S., Stark is recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. for a covert mission in China, leading to a fierce battle with the Mandarin, a powerful warlord wielding ten mystical rings. Their brutal clash ends in an explosive standoff, with both surviving and vowing to fight again. Meanwhile, the Mandarin sets his sights on Stark Industries, activating a sleeper agent in America. This leads to an industrial espionage plot involving the contortionist-turned-criminal Scarecrow, who infiltrates Stark's company. Iron Man confronts him, but the villain escapes, leaving Stark to uncover the full extent of the Mandarin’s plan before it's too late.
