Character Description
As Tony returns home, deactivating an "Intruder Alert" from J.A.R.V.I.S., only to find a shadowy figure standing by his large window. The man steps into the light, revealing himself as Nick Fury, an African-American with an eyepatch and a trench coat. Fury introduces himself as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., quipping about the chaos caused by gamma accidents, radioactive bug bites, and mutants, before stating he’s there to discuss the Avenger Initiative. When Tony sarcastically asks who they’re avenging, Fury delivers a cool, commanding reply: “Whatever the hell we want.”
