mrn0body (FULL PLOT); After the quiet death of spiritual self-help author and minor celebrity Robert Mercer, his two adult sons, Julian and Gavin, attend the reading of the will. To Julian’s surprise, he is left the entirety of his father’s remaining assets — a modest inheritance of $10,000 — while Gavin, the older and more successful brother, is left nothing. Gavin doesn’t react at the funeral or will reading. He simply leaves. Julian, an idealistic but financially struggling freelance architect, tries to move on. He assumes Gavin, a high-level consultant with a long and mysterious résumé, won’t care about the money. But shortly after the funeral, Julian starts to feel like he's being watched. He receives anonymous emails referencing personal conversations he had with his father. He begins to question his father’s intentions and his own role in the will. Soon, things escalate. Julian gets a letter that appears to be handwritten by his father — dated after his death — warning him to give up the money or suffer spiritual consequences. Then he starts noticing inconsistencies in his bank account. Emails from clients vanish. His online reputation is sabotaged. Someone is impersonating him, quietly undoing his life. He’s referred to a medium by an old family friend. The medium tells him that his father’s spirit is restless — that he’s angry Julian took the inheritance meant to be shared. Julian, already under strain, begins to believe he’s being punished. His work collapses. He loses his lease. He isolates himself, becoming paranoid. But one night, Julian catches a man breaking into his apartment. He chases him, only to discover it’s someone he once saw in Gavin’s company years ago. Julian investigates. Over weeks, he uncovers a disturbing truth: Gavin is behind everything. For the last 20 years, Gavin has worked for a private corporate intelligence firm, ARGOS, which provides psychological operations (psy-ops), digital sabotage, and identity manipulation to political and financial elites. Gavin has leveraged ARGOS’ resources to create the illusion that their father’s spirit is haunting Julian — all to push him over the edge and reclaim the inheritance. But it’s not about the $10,000. It’s about punishment. Gavin was cut out of the will not because of money — but because Robert discovered Gavin had used his company and spiritual movement as a recruiting pool for ARGOS' clients. It was an attempt to sever ties. Now Gavin wants revenge, to destroy not just Julian, but the memory of their father’s integrity.
