I am Legend: Evolution

an I am Legend sequel

(the sequel is based on the alternate ending of the film where Dr. Neville survives and makes it to the survivors camp in Bethel, Vermont). It is now a little more than a decade after the events of the first film (early 2020s) and something happens in the camp so Neville, Anna, and Ethan have to venture to the outside world. They meet a nomadic militia-type group of darkseeker hunters (similar to the Saviors from TWD), lead by a man named the General (who was beginning in the military when the outbreak happened). The hunters believe that there will never be a cure for the virus and that the darkseekers are too mutated, monstrous, and “gone” to be considered human, so they believe they have to eradicate the darkseekers from the face of the earth. The hunters talk about someone called “Dee” who has been bonding with Darkseekers and purposefully reintroducing a mutated krippin virus with a faster incubation time (similar to the rage virus from 28 Days Later) and is more contagious. Dee’s plan is to infect the rest of humanity with the new KV, fill the world with Darkseekers (which he believes are the next step on the evolutionary ladder), and finally infect himself so he can turn because he believes he’s the only one who can do what he does. Dee is revealed to be a new hunter that was recruited during the film but never given a name. Neville has to show the General and Dee that humans and Darkseekers can co-exist before it’s too late
