Synopsis

During a time when America was deeply divided due to segregation and racial discrimination, an ordinary day turned into an extraordinary moment when Rosa Parks, a humble seamstress from Montgomery, Alabama, refused to give up her bus seat to a white man. Her brave decision ignited a city-wide boycott that would go down in history. Despite facing pressure from all sides, including the white establishment, her concerned family, and even members of her own community who feared retaliation, Rosa remained steadfast in her resolve. Her courageous act set in motion a powerful movement that would ultimately bring about significant social change.

Description of Fred Gray:

Fred David Gray is an American civil rights attorney, preacher, activist, and state legislator from Alabama. He handled many prominent civil rights cases, such as Browder v. Gayle, and was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 1970, along with Thomas Reed, both from Tuskegee. They were the first black state legislators in Alabama in the 20th century. He served as the president of the National Bar Association in 1985, and in 2001 was elected as the first African-American President of the Alabama State Bar.
