Despite her last name, Mira Spelling is an average teenager who is as obssessed with magic as she is with witch magic. Things change when she discovers a magic key that unlocks a new world in which monster island come to life. After tumbling into Monsters Land, Mira finds out that she has a magical family legacy - Rose Spelling is her long lost mother. Rose is the headmistress of Monster Academy where five monsters families teach the next generation of the teenage monsters how to become heroes. Now Mira is learning to use her magic and live up to her famoud surname, along with new friends that include Nerissa Zombie and Tyler Dracula.
