1955, Hercule Poirot, the greatest detective in the world, is tired. He is old, many of his friends have left. He is currently in the Congo to attend the funeral of an old comrade recently carried away by time. However, he will meet a young woman, Kallia Sinclair, a big fan of his work, who could well make him smile. However, even at his age, he cannot afford to retire, because a terrible murder has just taken place in the small town where he is. Everything seems to think that it would be the work of a vampire, the panic spreading. However, Poirot remains rational and decides to lead the investigation, Kallia assisting him and, together, they will once again discover that the only monsters that really exist... are those created by men.
