follows the story of Gabimaru, a ruthless ninja from the Iwagakure village, who is sentenced to death but is offered a chance at freedom by the Shogunate if he can travel to a mysterious island and retrieve the Elixir of Life, a mythical substance that grants immortality; he must navigate this dangerous island alongside other convicts and their elite guard monitors, facing deadly creatures and treacherous environments while battling not only the island's inhabitants but also the internal struggles of his own motivations, all while trying to survive and escape the "Hell's Paradise" that is the island.
