Story Plot

Ranging from the streets of L.A. to the inner sancta of rival Taiwanese crime syndicates in Paraguay to a massive drug cartel money-laundering operation just over the border in Mexico, Heat 2 illuminates the dangerous workings of international crime organizations and the agents who pursue them as it provides a full-blooded portrait of the men and women who inhabit both worlds.

  • If Chris Shiherlis is supposed to be keeping a low profile in Part 6 (2000 Los Angeles), instead of the old-school Alfa Romeo the hotel gives him to drive, I'd put him in an e39 BMW M5 sedan. It's understated, was incredibly fast for its time (packed supercar power at around 400 hp), came only in a 6-speed manual, had precision handling, and short of the M5 badge on the back, looked very similar to a stock 5-series (which would've been all over L.A.). If he wanted something sportier, he could go e43 M3 (looked similar to a dime-a-dozen 3-series that would've littered L.A., but packs a massive punch in power and handling) or the incredibly rare Z8 (a homage to the classic BMW 507 roadster, same V8 394 hp motor as the M5). The Z8, while still looking very contemporary by today's standards, would probably have drawn a lot of attention--something Shiherlis wouldn't have wanted. What are your thoughts on cars for the potential film?
