Fan Casting Hearts on Fire

This story is about a young couple. The woman is named Lilith, and she is secretly a fire phoenix. Phoenixes are thought to be extinct, so Lilith stays in her human form. Kaleb grows suspicious after a few peculiar situations. One night, Kaleb sees her in her phoenix form. This leads to Lilith reluctantly revealing herself to Kaleb. Unfortunately, the main antagonist of the story, Ares, who is a human, is a phoenix hunter. He finds out Lilith and shoots her down one night, taking her to be tortured by water, her weakness. Kaleb succeeds in saving her, but Ares finds a way to expose Lilith to the world, eventually causing for her to be considered a public enemy. The military eventually come to arrest her, but she resists arrest, and flies away, causing Kaleb to be imprisoned for harboring a fugitive. As Lilith makes her escape, Ares helps the military set up on the beach to wait for her return. This is when Lilith discovers that her kind have been living in the phoenix world this whole time, but they cannot help her because they want to stay hidden. Lilith returns to the beach, where the water phoenix, Amina, refuses to stop a tsunami. Lilith uses all her power to stop the tsunami, which leads to her death. Kaleb, meanwhile, has escaped prison and has found Lilith on the beach, where the other phoenixes appear and resurrect Lilith.
