In Port Lonsdale, a once-thriving coastal community now decaying under the weight of economic decline, the Bennett women have lived intertwined lives within the shadow of the harbor. Matriarch Miriam, whose life has been defined by her sacrifices for the family, runs a crumbling inn perched on the edge of the sea. Her daughter Claire, who fled the suffocating town to seek a career in journalism, returns reluctantly to assist after her father’s sudden death. Meanwhile, Claire’s teenage daughter Lily, a rebellious spirit haunted by a secret of her own, becomes mesmerized by the mysteries of the harbor’s eerie legends. The film follows a triptych structure, weaving between three perspectives: Miriam’s stoic memories of sacrifice, struggles with identity and forgiveness, and Lily’s yearning for freedom and understanding. Each perspective unveils a different layer of the Bennett family’s history, leading to a climactic revelation during the festival when the rising tides threaten to engulf the harbor—and the family secrets with it.
